This year’s gathering will explore creative expression as a catalyst for leadership and social change, and we’re especially excited to welcome youth voices from our nonprofit partners into the conversation. “DISRUPTION DIALOGUE”

In moments of crisis, those fighting for justice have always sought refuge in the arts. We look to artists for courage, for strength, for sustenance. It is art, the creatives and the makers, that strengthen our activist spirit as progress ebbs and flows. The New Commonwealth Fund’s 3rd Annual Disruption Dialogue will push, probe and color between the lines and notes to propose a path forward to 2029.
This summer, join NCF in a conversation with narrators of justice as they examine how they use their respective tools—music, the written word, visual art and deep collaboration—to exercise passionate resistance. Our “Disruptors” see creative expression as tools of protest, innovation, and movement building—particularly in moments of political hostility. You will leave with the energy and faith we all need to persevere toward a shared promise of the “beloved community.” The audience will be around 100 guests and includes prominent business leaders, entrepreneurs, artists and creatives, academics, philanthropists, and nonprofit leaders with national and local profiles.
