The New Commonwealth Fund, an organization invested in Black and brown communities, has named four new directors from the worlds of healthcare, financial services and professional sports.
The New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund, or NCF, says its new directors are: former New England Patriots captain Devin McCourty; healthcare executives Rachel Felix and Manny Lopes; and managing director of the global investment firm Cambridge Associates Keon Holmes.
State legislators gave the fund a $1 million line item in its recently passed budget, according to a statement. The budget has yet to be signed by Gov. Maura Healey.
“NCF can and should be a household name among all those who care about making Massachusetts more equitable and inclusive,” said Felix, a senior vice president and chief marketing and growth officer at Boston Medical Center, in a statement.
